Advanced: bunny lines and correcting a 'Spock' / quizzical brow

Two things from advanced training I want to nail: treating bunny lines, and fixing that arched 'Spock' brow when it happens after forehead treatment.

Both are small, satisfying tweaks: • Bunny lines (nasalis): the diagonal creases on the nose when someone scrunches. ~2–4 units per side into the nasalis, kept high on the side wall of the nose to avoid the levators that lift the lip. Tip: if you treat the glabella and the patient then recruits nasalis to compensate, bunny lines can appear/worsen — so assess for them and treat together where needed. • 'Spock'/quizzical brow: the lateral brow arches up too much because the medial frontalis was treated but the lateral fibres are still active and now unopposed. Fix with a tiny dose (often 1–2 units) into the lateral frontalis just above the peak of the arch to soften it. This is a classic two-week-review correction — reassure the patient it's an easy fix. Both reinforce the theme of the whole course: assess the whole functional unit, don't treat muscles in isolation.

  • The Spock-brow fix being a normal, easy two-week top-up (rather than a 'complication') is such a confidence booster to explain to patients up front.
