UK toxin brands — do the units convert between Botox, Azzalure and Bocouture?

Just finished foundation and I keep seeing different unit numbers online. Are Botox units the same as Azzalure? I don't want to under- or over-dose because I copied a number from the wrong brand.

Great question — this trips a lot of people up, so get it clear early. Units are NOT interchangeable between products. Azzalure (and Dysport, same toxin) are dosed in Speywood units; Botox, Bocouture, Alluzience and Letybo are dosed in their own units. A Speywood unit is not equal to a Botox unit — people quote rough ratios like 2.5:1 but you should never 'convert', you dose each product to its own SPC and the technique you were taught. Practical advice: pick ONE brand for your first 6–12 months, learn its dilution and dosing properly, and only add a second product once the first is second nature. Alluzience is worth knowing as it comes ready-to-use (liquid, no reconstitution).

  • Seconding the 'one brand first' advice. I started on Botox because the licensed doses for the three upper-face areas are so well documented — makes it easy to stay within familiar numbers while you build confidence.

  • I trained on Azzalure and got briefly confused doing a course that used Botox numbers. Now I literally have the SPC dilution for my brand saved on my phone. Highly recommend doing the same.
